RIHIS Leadership

Chancellor

Mr. Hassan Khan

“Quality Improvement is systematic and continuous actions that lead to measurable improvement in health care services and the health status of patients. Quality is directly linked to an organization’s service delivery approach or underlying system of care.

Patient safety is the prevention of errors and adverse effects to patients associated with health care. In simple words Patient Safety is no harm to patients, healthcare providers and visitors in a healthcare setting. While health care has become more effective it has also become more complex, with greater use of new technologies, medicines and treatments.

In light of above, Riphah has established RIHIS as the first institute in Pakistan with a vision to create a centre of excellence in Patient Safety. RIHIS has already started imparting training in Health Care Quality and Patient Safety. RIHIS shall also initiate continuous research with Pakistan’s context to contribute towards development of Patient Safety standards and culture.”

Vice Chancellor

Prof. Dr. Anis Ahmad

Since 1996 we at Riphah have taken upon ourselves and enormous responsibility of producing healthcare practitioners in medicine and surgery, dentistry, rehabilitation sciences as well as pharmaceutical sciences. AlhamdulLIlah we have reached a point in our gradual progress when keeping in view best practices and learning from ISO and JCI certifications we are among the leaders in healthcare and health safety of patients in and outside Pakistan.

The RIHIS shall Inshallah, contribute its share in improving the current state of healthcare quality and will also make a contribution at national and international level through a professional association, training, workshops, seminars, and international moots. The institute shall conduct academic programs leading to certificates, diploma, BS, MS and Ph.D. programs in healthcare quality and patient safety.
